HARVARD UNIVERSITY

Harvard University was founded only 16 years after the Pilgrims had arrived in Plymouth in 1620. It is named for the English minister John Harvard, whose statue can be seen on Harvard campus and who was the first benefactor. Due to his generous donation, Harvard College could be founded.
Harvard has developed into a very prestigious university. Its alumni include for example 8 U.S. presidents and 158 Nobel laureates.
