John Fitzgerald Kennedy by Theresa Zeuner
He was the 35th president of the United States of America for 3 years.
Before he became president he was the senator of Massachusetts,
where his mother gave birth to him. And of course he was member of the
Kennedy family with a beautiful wife. But what kind of president was John?
and also for the weak like the black people, he tried to envisioned a word where race doesn't define greatness.
So he supports the march of Washington.
Another important part of his policy was the space
program. It was Kennedy's plan to bring an American on the moon before the
Russians could do this. In only ten years he wanted the scientist to build a
rocket and bring a man to the moon and back. And it worked.
The cuban crisis showed that Kennedy was a good president he handled the
crisis well and found a peaceful way to interact with the Sowjets so he
prevented a nuclear war.
And of course he was a president who wanted the Americans to do more
volunteer work, this was the thing that made John so famous. Once Kennedy
said : And so my fellow Americans ask not what your country can do for
you - ask what you can do for your country.
And that's the motto Americans are still acting on. For example the schools
where it is normal that there are volunteer clubs.
To keep the legacy alive and the legacy of all the other presidents, every
president get a library and a museum. John F. Kennedys library stands in
Boston and is also a place where people get their citizenship.
